What is MA?

NEWS FLASH:

With the slow reopening of Sonoma & Marin counties due to COVID-19, some local meetings are via Zoom and some are in-person.
To check the status of a meeting near you, go to our meetings page.

Also, MAWS offers online meetings: check out https://marijuana-anonymous.org/find-a-meeting/

Marijuana Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share our experience, strength, and hope with each other that we may solve our common problem and help others to recover from marijuana addiction.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using marijuana. There are no dues or fees for membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. MA is not affiliated with any religious or secular institution or organization and has no opinion on any outside controversies or causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay free of marijuana and to help the marijuana addict who still suffers achieve the same freedom. We can do this by practicing our suggested twelve steps of recovery and by being guided as a group by our twelve traditions.

Marijuana Anonymous uses the basic 12 Steps of Recovery founded by Alcoholics Anonymous, because it has been proven that the 12 Step Recovery program works!

How It Works

The 12 StepsRefer to the MA World Services website for much more info about how this 12-Step Program works especially for stoners.

Who is MA District 12?

District 12 covers Marin and Sonoma Counties and has meetings many days of the week.

In addition to our regular 12-step meetings, there is a monthly District 12 meeting. Here the Group Service Representatives (GSRs) from each of the weekly meetings get together to figure out how to best serve those meetings. ALL RECOVERING POTHEADS ARE WELCOME!

Doing service, whether at the weekly meetings or monthly at the District meeting, is a key part of staying clean from marijuana. Addicts tend to isolate; meetings and service are great ways to make new friends in a supportive, non-judgmental environment filled with fellow potheads.

Our District Meetings are on the second Tuesday of every month, at 5:45PM. Currently, these meetings are virtual ONLY, held via Zoom: The Zoom meeting number is 876 1445 2808
